I founded WebLaps.com for one reason, to help fellow enthusiasts improve their knowledge of this sport.  I starting in Karting and over my 25 years of racing I’ve owned amateur and professional teams and won races and championships in over 20 classes.  I’ve competed in most types of racing including drag,  autocross, oval dirt, oval asphalt and road racing.   Along the way I’ve had the good fortunate to meet, befriend and race with some of the top names in the game today from drivers and crew chiefs to team owners and manufacturers.   The bright spot for me is that I have not just been looking in,  I’ve been lucky enough to have the talent to be at the front.  The relationships and experience from those 25 years of racing is an invaluable resource, a resource I enjoy sharing.


Also in those 25 years I’ve been sort of a “tech nerd”.   I’m a gadget addict, founder of the SpecMiata.com web community and owned an Internet Service Provider at one point.   This curiosity greatly helped me in racing with the explosion of Data Acquisition and Internet based Simulator Racing.   Today, we would not think of teaching a student without first viewing a lap generated by a logging program or an in-car camera.  This service capitalizes on the new technologies available today.

I merged these various backgrounds to create a unique training, entertainment and product demonstration experience.  Drawing on the pioneering work done in Pilot Training,  Stock Trading and Musical Education we will bring RACE related material right to your computer screen, live and interactive.

In its very basic form anyone with a personal computer and an Internet connection you can login to our servers and participate in a live event.   You will be able to interact with an educator via a Webinar.   From that portal you will be guided through video, white board illustrations,  and other multimedia demonstrations while interacting with other Attendees and the Presenter.
